Two months to go until the big day, and so much to write about! A ton of progress has been made in the planning process. Flower arrangements have been finalized, invitations have been sent out, and some really cool wedding activities have been arranged.
Although a lot of things have been accomplished, there were one big change that we had to make. We decided to change the entire location of our wedding.
A few months ago, I began to realize that I was having a lot of trouble communicating with our wedding venue’s management. Whenever I had a question, it always took more than a few days to get it answered, and nobody ever seemed to answer the phone. Needless to say, I was getting very nervous about putting down a deposit on a venue that didn’t really seem to care if I got married or not. Instead of going for it and hoping for a positive outcome, six months before the wedding I decided to changes locations. Currently, I still have yet to hear back from the resort, which in my mind, proves to me that they didn’t want my money. I was really disappointed about this at first. The resort was absolutely beautiful, and an ideal location for our wedding, but I knew I would have regretted it later on if I had put down the deposit.
After a couple weeks of searching around for a different location, I came across the Lake Sunapee Country Club. It’s located in New London, New Hampshire, just miles away from the previous location.
Check out that view! It’s it beautiful? The Country Club has a couple stone patios facing the golf course that would be just perfect for an outdoor ceremony (Lets hope for a warm april!)
If the weather decides not to cooperate, the indoor reception area is beautiful as well, and the perfect size for our small family wedding.
After visiting the country club with my fiance, I brought my parents there for a final approval, and everyone loves it. Richard, the general manager has been great about answering questions, and seems as enthusiastic about the wedding as I am.
